Christmas Charger Plates

I made up a couple of Christmas Charger Plates ready for the holiday season.

This black plate I really wasn't too sure about until I seen the finished product.
I am loving it all the more

Have to give a big shout out to some friends for making up the files for the different pieces of these plates.  They are a wonderful bunch of ladies.  Thanks again.

Memory Ornaments

Memory ornaments I made for a couple people who have just lost their partner, mom, & gramma.  She was a special lady to them and myself.

She was also a huge Duck Dynasty fan so the "HAP-PAY, HAP-PAY, HAP-PAY" saying is very fitting for them.

I am sure everyone will get a chuckle from these when they look at them.
RIP my Dear Auntie Lynne.
I know she is going to come kick my a$$ for calling her that as when I was about 12 she told me I was not to call her that as it made her feel OLD.  She was only 15 yrs older than myself.  Way too young to be taken from us by cancer.
LOVE YOU LYNNE!

TYSON`S BOO BAG

Being that "Little Man" is only just over a yr old I wanted something that he may be able to use later also.
I made this Halloween bag for my "Little Man" to take fill with little things for him.

I started to make it out of a bag made of the same material as the reusable shopping bags but quickly found out that you cannot iron on them as they melt.  I had some black cotton laying around so I made a small bag with it.

This picture above is the sides just folded in

This above picture is the back of the bag.
Overall I am very pleased with the way it turned out finally.

Files are from Svg Cutting files, Svg Cuts & the font is Blackwood Castle

Happy Birthday Little Man

I made this banner for my youngest nephew who just happened to turn 1 exactly a month ago.
Dawn told me she was going to buy a banner so I offered to make one for him.
I was going to ask her if she wanted one earlier but thought
she would have said something if she did.
I had one week to design it and cut it out before we were leaving to go to her house in Barrie.
I showed her my thoughts on it before I cut it and she really liked it.
I didn't want to use scalloped circles as it seemed to girly like for a little boy.

I just loved this file when I seen it.  I knew it was going to go on an outfit for Little Man for his birthday.  It is a file from Miss Kate Cuttables

On the arm I also did the wings that were in the file.
I also did a pair of track pants with the wings down on the bottom of the left pant leg with his initial in the center of it.

Here is another outfit I did for him with HTV.

The saying on the shirt is "One in a Minion"  which he is exactly that.
Pants back pocket match the minion on the front of the shirt.

What is a 1st birthday without the birthday boy having his own cake to play in.

Here are the cupcakes everyone else got to enjoy.
The little toppers said "Tyson is 1"
I cut them out with the cameo and wrote on them with it also.

Here is the Cake topper that was made to match the colours of the banner.

Now let the fun begin!

He wasn't quite sure to begin with but didn't take him long to get right into the icing.

Ooh it is squishy! It makes noise when I squish too.

Tastes not too bad

No point in having 1 clean hand.

Hmmm  Yummy

Lets dig in two hands together

Needing a drink if only I can hold my bottle.
For some reason it is pretty slippery

This is my most favourite picture that I captured the week I was there.
There is just something about this Cutie I love. I cannot get enough of him.
He is "Just Plane Cute"!

Bath time to clean up the icing.  How much can I get on mom while she tries to get me to the tub....

Happy 1st Birthday Little Man.  Auntie loves you to the moon and back.

Congrats to the Bride & Groom

First off I would love to say a BIG "Thank You" to Deezy from Deezy Does It! for showcasing my blog a second time.  I would also like to thank MyScrapChick for being this week's sponsor.

I chose to use one of their files for my project this week. The file I used can be found by clicking on this link: CardEssentials Vol 2 .

I planned to make the album for the gift for the lucky couple but ran out of time
so I settled for doing up the card instead.  I like the way it turned out and am now thinking
I am glad I did the card now as I will probably run out of time to make it last minute.
 (Procrastination happens all the time)

Her colours for the wedding as I was told were brown with fall coloured flowers. I chose to do the card in beige and brown as those were the colours on the invite and they went well together.
Now that I am looking at the card I wish I would have put a scalloped oval mat under the oval.
I still like the results and am really hoping my cousin and is new wife will come October 11/13

I found a poem on line that I liked for the inside of the card
so I printed it out in brown also.

Wedding Gifts

I made this wall hanging for a special man  who had a wedding to attend on his own.  I asked him if he wanted me to make something for him to give the couple as this was the first function he would be attending by himself. He told me he had no idea what to get them or how much to give them for a gift. This suggestion solved the problem for him.

I used the Regal Font available for a free download of the internet.
I then split the letter so I could put the couples names in the centre.

I also made this for the happy couple.  Thought they would enjoy a cutting board also.

The family name was in the center.

A Stray from the Crafty Path

TRAIL CAM EVIDENCE

My Hubby has made himself a little shack to put out in the back 40 (actually 18 acres) to hunt out of.  He has been feeding the deer and squirrels out there for a while now.  He has put the feeders up with corn in them and salt blocks out and also any vegetable remnants from the house he takes out to feed them also.  He has installed his trail cam out there so he can see what and who goes in there.  Well Aug 31 at around 7:20 pm we had a little visitor out there.  We had heard that they were around and here is the evidence in the bottom left corner of the picture.

BRIDAL SHOWER GIFTS

I have a cousin who is getting married this fall.
I got my invite to the bridal shower for in August.
I seen these mugs and the cutting board on facebook in a site I go to on
there for crafting.  I thought these would be perfect for them. They both
have a great sense of humour and will find humour in these
I am going to add a lid and straw to each of the bottles
before I give them to them.

This cutting board pattern was also from a group on facebook.  I put "The Bour's" in between the split on the board.  This is all done on the bottom of the cutting board.  The top of the board is textured and the bottom is smooth so the vinyl will adhere to it.

Hope you enjoyed your visit

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DADDY

This shirt was inspired from a lady who made one in a group I belong to on FB.
She posted some pictures and when I seen this I knew right away I wanted to make it for my DAD.
He is very special to me and always will be.

I know he is going to love it and I think this saying is so true.  Not every guy can be a Grampa and he is a very special one to 7 kids.  Whether it be Gumpa, Gramps, Grampa, Grandpa; he is all of them to the kids. Doesn't matter what is going on with them he would be there if needed.    Each of them (10 months-22yrs old) has their own special bond with him no matter how close/far away they are from each other.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DADDY
We all LOVE you!!!!!

MEMORY TILES

I made this Memory Tile for my friend who just recently lost her mom.
I was really happy with the way it turned out in the end.
I wish I would have been able to find a smaller tile to have put it on like originally planned.

Sarah was so pleased with this she used it at the Celebration of Life for her mom.
It stood up beside the rest of the items she had there.

This tile I did was a request from a family member from the last one I made.

She was impressed with the one she seen that she wanted one for her father.  I had to get it done quickly as she was leaving town the next day and if I was to ship it, it would be expensive.  She took it with her on the plane.

Specialty Made Tumbler

I found a tumbler with a gold coloured lid and straw and thought about my friend's husband.
My girlfriend's husband is a big Boston Bruins fan.

It was hard to do a picture with his name all in one shot so I had to split it into 2 pics.
I am sure he is going to love this tumbler.

Weekend of Crafting

I am so loving this file that I made 2 more of the onesies.
I really like how sharp the yellow & green together look on it.

I got the file for this from Miss Kate Cuttables.

My Heart Belongs to DADDY

I was browsing thru the Miss Kate Cuttables website and seen this file.  I knew exactly what I would do with it when I saw it.
Next time I will put the brown on the bottom and the light pink on the top with the burgundy and glittered black vinyl on top of the light pink.

Here is the link to the file:  My Heart Belongs to Daddy.

I have plans to make some more of these and also hope there will be a file with a boy and mommy.  (he he he)  I did suggest it

LITTLE MAN'S STASH

As many of you have seen thru my blog or chatting with you I have a new Man in my life.  He is 9 months old today.  I had been looking for a transparent piggy bank like this since before he was born.  I just happened to be at the bank for my work and seen this one there.  If you look closely in the top picture you can see the banks logo thru the piggy bank.

I took pieces of vinyl and made different sizes of circles and
ovals to place on it in different colours.
I also put his name on one side and the other side has "Stash" on it

I was planning to give him this on our visit to him from May 6th-May 13th, but funny how life throws curve balls into things.  I did end up having a quick little visit with him on May 6th but not the way I wished it was.  Hopefully I will get to have another visit with him soon on better grounds.
Auntie loves ya Tyson!

CREATIVE KUTS PROJECT for the DESIGN TEAM

This is my April's project for the Creative Kuts Design Team which I am a member of.
The file is available at Creative Kuts
I made this for a good friend's mom.  Her and I have crafted together when she has been in town.
It will be travelling out to Saskatchewan next month when my friend goes for a visit.

Friends Forever Clockworks

I made this clock using a file from SVGCUTS.com.
When I saw this kit I knew I wanted it so I could make a clock for a very dear
lady who is like a 2nd mom to me.

I am really hoping she likes it.
Her kitchen has roosters in it so this will go perfectly in there.
The clock is a working clock.  I was looking for a shadow box with a dark frame on it to match with it.  I ended up buying one at Walmart and taking it all apart.  I got a discount on it as it was damaged.

T SHIRT FOR LITTLE MAN

A great friend of mine tagged me on a pinterest  picture that she thought my Little Man would need.  Well Jenn was right and here it is.  On Pinterest it was a onesie that was done up but I chose to do a shirt.

I know Tyson is going to love to wear this shirt.  He likes his Auntie who spoils him.  He will get spoiled by me just like his 2 older brothers did.  I am hoping to go see him soon.

Owl Box

This Owl box is a file that should be available soon from Creative Kuts.
It is a great little treat box for any special person.  I have chosen to fill it with flowers.
This was one of the projects the 3D team had to work on for the month of March.  I am a little behind on mine as I have has some crazy days and also am fighting a cold that has taken up residence in my body.

I decided to give this owl box to my Mother In Law when I meet her for lunch on friday.  I know she really doesnt care for candy so I figured some flowers in it would serve its purpose for her for belated Easter Present.

CAMPUS BOOK RENTALS & OPERATION SMILE

Campus Book Rentals

2012 is a new year, with a mix of old and new in our making a difference program. First off, we’re keeping our partnership with Operation Smile. They are an awesome organization that performs life changing cleft lip surgeries on children whose families could not otherwise afford it. The long term improvement in quality of life for the children that receive these surgeries is almost incomprehensible. We’re honored to support the children of Operation Smile.

We’ve also set aside $90,000 in textbook scholarships to be distributed to students in communities just like yours. That’s a lot of books, and we hope to touch a lot of students who could use a hand.

So add that extra book to your cart. When you rent textbooks from us, you make a difference.

RentBack is new initiative that allows students to rent the textbooks they own - to other students... which is awesome because it makes them 2-4x more money compared to what they'd make through buyback options! (selling their books back at the end of the semester) Isn't that awesome?! Renting textbooks saves you money plain and simple and gets the same result in your classes as buying your books. Rent textbooks without the risk of your books becoming worthless by the end of the semester. Rent college textbooks from the comfort of your home or office. Don't lose money at your school bookstore anymore. Rent textbooks along with customers on over 5,500 college campuses that have used our service so far. Join the movement. Campus Book Rentals offers new and gently used textbooks for typically less than half the price you'll pay in your school bookstore. Search for the college books you need and save money today!

  How does it work?:

Some perks are:
-save 40-90% off of bookstore prices
-free shipping both ways
-can highlight in the textbooks
-flexible renting periods
-we donate to Operation Smile with each textbook rented

Operation Smile

Operation Smile is such an amazing cause in which changes people's lives all over the world!

These programs touch thousands of lives in so many countries really need to be noticed and deserve the spotlight.

Cowboy Boot

Here is a cowboy boot I made hoping for some spring weather.
By the looks of it thought that isn't coming anytime soon.

I got the file from SVGCUTS.com and am loving it.

I made another one in red as someone I work with keeps asking for a pair of red cowboy boots.
Well here is one for him now.  I have told him the red alligators are extinct now.

Door Signage

I made this sign for the office at my hubby's work.  The fellow didn't care what colour/size/font. He said it was my decision.  This was the same individual who the last baby album was made for.

This sign was made for the bottom of the window as I guess there was
questions on where to put the mail.
Hopefully now it is clear.
I had never been there before to see the window.  I was just given dimensions for it.
Looking just below the window there is a little sign on the door and it is almost the same shade of colour.  Guess my  colour choice was a good one.

Hubby asked me if I could make a sign for the MS Society for their door also.  Being who and what it was for I donated it to them as it is a worthy cause.  So many people are inflicted with it including an aunt of mine.
